NAHBS – North American Handmade Bicycle Show

The North American Handmade Bicycle Show is coming to Denver.  I had almost forgotten about it’s impending arrival in February.  As a frame builder, this is the Mecca of design and innovation.  I am pretty excited to see what is out there and compare some of my frame detailing to the real pros.  I usually feel pretty good about my frame building and then you see work by some of these guys that take it to the next level.  Of course if you are spending $4000 on a frame, it better be sweet! On another note, it is certainly confirmed that steel bikes are not heavy any more if built right.  Several folks will be showing steel builds under 15 lbs. without going to extremes on components or durability.

I estimate I will take well over 1000 photos.  The big question is whether I can spare time to go to the seminars.  I would love to take the time to really dig in, but I may just have to settle for checking out the bikes.  Check out the link and I hope to see a few of you there!
