In the next week, I’d like to explore how July/August should look for each type of racer out there. There are two types of racers our there:

  1. The all year racer.  This guy/gal is always racing and slots cross in as the fall edition of his racing life.  These fall into two subcategories, mtb and road racers.
  2. The cross specific racer.  These folks generally only race cross.  They may race outside of cross to get fit for the cross season.

In the next week or so I will examine how each racer is different and how their prep ought to be different as well.
